"User": shall mean and include a person who registers himself on the PayMate website to transact or avail of PayMate services.
"PayMate Associates" shall mean such entities that provide joint services with PayMate, including banks and providers of payment gateways.
When a User enters into a transaction with PayMate or avails of a PayMate service, then it is likely that PayMate records shall contain any of the following information about the User: - mobile phone number and PIN number; - email address; - some financial information; - information provided by a User with regard to shipping, billing or delivery of goods or services to the User, including his address; - information from a User's interaction with PayMate such as demographic, geographic and navigation data, User's interests, computer and connection information and the like; - additional information sought by PayMate or PayMate Associates and obtained from a User or third parties when conducting checks such as authenticity checks and credit checks. By choosing to provide his personal information, a User consents to the transfer and storage of that information on PayMate/ PayMate Associate servers.
Use of User information
Such information is used to endeavor to improve PayMate services, in order to tailor content to a User's preferences and for the purpose of advertising. PayMate respects the privacy of its Users and is committed to protect such privacy as detailed herein. In addition, a User may encounter "cookies" or other similar devices on a web page. These are data collection devices to help analyze our web flow and measure promotional effectiveness. "Cookies" are small files placed on a User’s hard drive that assist PayMate in providing services to its Users and giving a User information targeted to his interests. Most cookies are session cookies, meaning that they are automatically deleted from a User's hard drive at the end of a session. A User is always free to decline a cookie if his browser permits. A User may also encounter a cookie placed by a third party. PayMate does not control the use of such cookies placed by third parties. When a User utilizes the PayMate website or sends emails or other data, information or communication to PayMate or any of its accredited merchants, the User agrees and understands that such information and data may be communicated through a third party payment gateway controlled by a PayMate Associate through electronic records and a User consents to receive communications via electronic records from such PayMate Associate periodically. Upon registration with PayMate, a User agrees that he shall be contacted on his mobile or e mail address for authentication of a transaction or from time to time about updating his content to provide features which PayMate believes may benefit him or for the purpose of receiving promotional messages. A User's information shall remain with PayMate and PayMate Associates. Further, a limited amount of this information will be available to an advertiser who may use this information to send the User marketing communications. PayMate does not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Disclosure of Information
PayMate may also share a User's personal information with any statutory or legal authority as may be required or mandated by that authority. PayMate may disclose personal information when required, such as to respond to legal requirements, enforce PayMate policies or protect anyone's rights, property, or safety. Such information will be disclosed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. If required by law to do so or if considered necessary to do so for proper management of credit or business risk, PayMate reserves the right to disclose any and all User information, including default in any payments or misuse of the service, to any court of competent jurisdiction, quasi judicial authority, law enforcement agency, relevant wing of the Central Government or State Government, User's employer, credit reference agency, financial institution or any company which is an affiliate or associate or parent or subsidiary of PayMate. The content and advertisements on the PayMate website are provided as part of the PayMate service. A User understands that advertising plays an important role in the provision of this service and that PayMate may, from time to time, send to users, promotional email/SMS about services offered by PayMate and their advertisers. PayMate uses third-party advertisers to put up advertisements on the PayMate website. These advertisers may use information (excluding name, address, email address or telephone number) about a User's visits to this and other websites in order to provide information about goods and services which might interest him. PayMate shall not sell or rent a User's personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without his explicit consent. PayMate shall comply with the DND regulations as framed form time to time.
